All Square One Building Products doors are manufactured to meet or exceed industry standards. Each door is warranted to be of sound material and workmanship and to be free of defects which would cause the door to be unfit for the ordinary recommended use for a period of 5 years from the date of manufacture.

This warranty applies to exterior doors properly sealed, finished, and hung in a location protected from exposure to direct sun or rain under normal conditions.

Any doors used in an exterior application must be at least 1 3/4” thick and must be installed under an adequate overhang. This means an overhang of 50% of the height of the doorway is required in Northern or Eastern exposures. For doors painted or stained dark colors and/or Southern, Southwestern and Western exposures the overhang must equal the height of the doorway.

It is understood that many warrantable circumstances do not develop and fully become apparent until well after the product is installed, but some defects or flaws may be detected as soon as the door or sidelite is unpackaged. Since many minor flaws can be repaired or corrected, all items should be inspected thoroughly for such defects upon receipt and before machining.

Please be aware that the machining of a door or sidelite constitutes acceptance of the product as it was received. Any minor flaws or defects that may exist at the time of machining will not be considered as defective product or claimable once additional labor has begun. Inspect all items thoroughly before the machining process takes place.

Normal characteristics of kiln-dried wood include, but are not limited to, minor swelling and shrinking of wood, and minor pitch pockets. Natural expansion and contraction of wood occurs with variations in climatic and atmospheric conditions, such as humidity and temperature and are not considered defects.

Warranty is granted for seal failure on insulated glass units (moisture between glass) for a period of five (5) years from the date of manufacture, against permanent failure of the hermetic seal, directly attributed to defective manufacturing. At seller’s sole discretion, the replacement door or glass will be shipped FOB from the Square One Building Products factory. This warranty does not apply if the failure of the seal is caused by an Act of God, (tornado, hurricane, flood, earthquake, or any other natural disaster outside of human control), exposure to corrosive fumes or condensates, damage resulting from excessive stress from movement of the structure, glass distortion or breakage, mishandling or improper installation or by any other cause not within our exclusive control.

Cracked, scratched or broken glass is not covered by this warranty. The glass warranty will be void if the product is not properly installed according to seller’s installation instruction; or is used in or around swimming pools or sources of chlorine, saunas, sprinkler systems or greenhouse enclosures; or if installed over 5,000 ft. above sea level.

Square One Building Products does not warrant the amount or percentage of argon or other inert gas present in insulating glass at any time after manufacture. Inert gas dissipates over time and may be ineffective in products manufactured with capillary tubes. Thermal efficiencies vary with the application of the product. Square One Building Products does not warrant a specific level of thermal efficiency will be maintained by inert gas, low emissivity coatings, or other product features.
